Sidreria El Trisquel is a genuine gem tucked away in the vibrant heart of Benidorm, Alicante. This charming Spanish sidrería masterfully combines the authentic flavors of Asturias with the lively local atmosphere, offering diners an unforgettable taste of Northern Spain right on C. El Greco, 2.
From the moment you step inside, you’re greeted by a warm, unpretentious ambiance that feels both welcoming and distinctly local. The friendly and attentive service at El Trisquel strikes the perfect balance — efficient yet relaxed — allowing you to enjoy your meal without fuss, just as customer Juan fondly recalls.
The star attraction here is, undoubtedly, the **cider**—a natural, crisp delight poured with a traditional Asturian flair using a fascinating pourer mechanism that’s more than just functional; it’s an experience in itself. As Paul Glance notes, “it’s worth it just to try the pourer,” a little ritual that adds to the charm and authenticity of the place.
When it comes to food, Sidreria El Trisquel doesn’t disappoint. Its standout dish, the **cachopo**, is a must-try for anyone seeking a hearty, soul-satisfying meal. This generously portioned, breaded veal specialty, filled with ham and cheese, bursts with rich, savory flavors that linger long after the last bite. As Brinny C suggests, the XL cachopo is perfect for sharing, making it a great value and an ideal way to dive into the house specialties. The quality and care put into each dish shine through, making the menu a compelling invitation to explore traditional Asturian fare with a genuine local flair.
More than just a place to eat and drink, Sidreria El Trisquel embodies the spirit of an authentic Spanish bar—unpretentious, lively, and deeply rooted in tradition. David Pengilly’s reflection captures it perfectly: it’s “a real local bar, totally Spanish,” and the kind of place you wish existed beyond Benidorm’s shores.
Whether you’re stopping by before a football match like Angie Rennie or simply looking to savor something both hearty and nostalgic, Sidreria El Trisquel offers a convivial atmosphere, quality food, and that unmistakable taste of Asturias that keeps guests coming back. For visitors and locals alike, it’s a comforting reminder of Spain’s rich culinary tapestry and the joy of sharing good cider and even better food with friends.

A nice little Spanish bar, a bit of Astoria in Benidorm. Good quality food when you stick to the menu. I would recommend the Cachopos which is a speciality of the house. A little tip if there's 3 of you share the XL Cachopos it's definitely big enough and saves you a heap of money. They also have a novel way of serving the Cider, which is also a specialty of the house.
